SPRING 2022 PLANT FUNDRAISER

Order forms were both emailed out and sent home with students on Friday April 8th. There are lots of great hanging baskets and plant options to choose from to make your garden look beautiful, bright, and even a little bit tasty! Orders are due to Mrs. Pattenaude by April 19th, deliveries will happen on Monday May 2nd in the BMSS parking lot after 3:20pm.

Mom’s Pantry Fundraiser is now closed for the 2021 season! Orders will be expected to arrive on Monday December 13th! Stay tuned for updated information!

Dance Company Auditions for the 2018/2019 school year will be on Wednesday June 6th from 3:30-6:00pm in the Dance Studio! Come ready to sweat lots and have an absolute blast doing so!

Where: –> Burnaby Mountain Secondary (Gym 1)

Tickets:–> Each dancer is permitted two guests, no tickets are needed. Please contact Mrs. Pattenaude or Mrs. Worobets if you have more than two guests coming.

#2 Tuesday May 1st – Burnaby Festival of Dance @ 7pm

#3 “201.8FM” THE BLEND – Year-End Dance Showcase

Who: The entire dance program (everyone MUST ATTEND)

When: –> Doors open at 7:00pm, Show starts at 7:30pm

Tickets: –> $10.00/student  $12.00/adult  — Can be purchased in the upper commons at lunch, at the door, or through school cashonline (https://burnaby.schoolcashonline.com/)

Dinner: –> $5.00 dinner tickets can be purchased at school through Mrs. Worobets or Mrs. Pattenaude — Special Dietary Needs? Let one of them know so we can ask the caterer to prepare you a separate dinner!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Community Collaborative Dance Project

Burnaby Mountain and Moscrop are combining forces to create a community collaborative dance piece! The piece will be both a dance on film project and a live performance. Rehearsals will be on Mondays and Wednesdays starting December 4th from 3:30/4 – 5:30pm. The location of the rehearsals will alternate each week between the two schools and we will be starting at Mountain on the 4th. If you are interested please see Mrs. Pattenaude or Mrs. Worobets to sign up.

We are looking forward to this incredible experience with our friends at Moscrop!

Dance Company Auditions 

Auditions for next year’s Dance Company will be taking place on Wednesday April 26th from 3:30-6:00pm. This audition is open to all interested students from grades 9-12. Dance Company requires that students who make the team must also register for another dance technique or performance course to supplement their training.

April 2nd – Vancity Projects @ Michael J. Fox Theatre  ~ Come out and support Dance Company and our Senior Choreography Students ~ The show starts at 2:00pm and tickets are $20.00 each, please see a Dance Company member or a dance teacher to buy your tickets!

April 6thStudent Extra Work auditions for the year – end show from 3:15-5:00pm

April 26th – DANCE COMPANY AUDITIONS FOR 2017-2018! 3:30-6:00PM 

May 1-3Burnaby Festival of Dance – A celebration of dance across the whole district. This will be taking place at our school.

May 6th & 13thStudent Yoga classes at Moksha Yoga Burnaby! – Class starts at 4:30 and spots are $12.00 each INCLUDING MAT AND TOWEL RENTAL! Please see Miss Douglas to reserve your spot.

AMDA ~ American Musical and Dramatic Academy
