Offered in grades 11 and 12
This course aims to expose students to potential career options in the vast and varied professional dance industry, extending beyond the limited duration of a performer’s career. Offering Dance Leadership encourages students to bring their knowledge and skills into the shared space with other dancers, while encouraging them to effectively communicate and problem solve. This class will prepare highly dedicated students who are interested in furthering their dance experiences by offering leadership opportunities that do not currently exist in the Performance and Choreography curricula. Adding Dance Leadership as an option for students creates increased autonomy as they consider their future experiences in dance.
